The new X1 will be manufactured in three assembly sites.
Production of the F48 will remain in Leipzig, Germany and Shenyang, China where the LWB model will be made for the local market.
X1 will also be produced from a new factory in Araquari, Brazil.
This plant will also produce the 1er , MINI Countryman , BMW 3er
And the 2-series Active Tourer. The X2 is also expected to be made in Leipzig and Araquari. Araquari is expected to produce the X1 for North America.
