2020 vs 2021 40i
Hi all,
Looking at used X7’s and ideally finding 2020’s and 2021’s in the price and feature sets that I’m looking for. The main difference is the mild hybrid with improved ASS. Finding models with 25-45k miles.
If I opted for the 2020, I’d code off ASS. I test drove a 2021 and the ASS was smooth enough for me.
If you could choose, which would you prefer? I’d think that 2020 still had some problems/kinks being the second model year while the 2021 had minor growing pains the the 48v system.
I plan to get an extended service contract until 100k so I’m not overly worried about repairs other than the downtime and frustration it brings.
Would you prefer the mild hybrid? I’m coming from a Tesla Model Y so the vehicle being off at a standstill gives a similar vibe.
