Not too many, if any extended warranties, would include shocks...most consider them fair/wear items.

Pretty certain the BMW platinum covers the air suspension components such as leaky bags. GOLFFRR may be able to clarify.

Yes, while the CPO doesn't, the Platinum seems to cover all suspension parts as they are not listed as excluded.

Picked up my order (40i) today. Dealer was pushing PDS. It's an unlimited year / 100k / $100 vanishing deducible for around $3100. Anyone heard of them? Also is it true that BMW stopped administering their own extended warranties? If so, that doesn't inspire confidence.

Talked with endurance warranty today. “We are not going to pressure you to buy it today” and then used all the time share sales pitch strategies. When I finally said not right now, the guy said, “hope you don’t find yourself SOL with no coverage” and then hung up on me.

Sounds scammy and unhelpful.

I reached out to christine a number of times of the past 2 weeks. finally got a quote from will schwartz at camarillo and the quote he gave was much higher than 4 other dealers. Maybe Camarillo is no longer competitive?

I am having hard time to get hold of finance dept at bmw of camarillo to send me a copy of warranty i purchased.

Yes, last month Christine quoted me for the Platinum coverage 84/100k for $7,400. I finally decided to move forward with the warranty, and tonight she told me that the same coverage is now $14,400. 😮

I believe BMW is experiencing a lot of issues with their vehicles, which is why they need to compensate by raising prices for those whose warranties are about to expire. I’ve heard that new X7s are sitting in the shop for weeks with major problems. Not good at all.😏

Holy smokes! That is a huge increase. Glad we got ours when we did in December. 72m/100k was $5,650.

Is there another dealer who does these deals? I’ll note that they quoted me two days ago and it matched what your prior rates were ($6k for 8/100k).

I was incorrect in my initial response. Seems you actually had better rates. I was quoting the one I was looking at which was 84m/75k: $6490 (2021x7-40i)

Interesting that BMW changed it to Vehicle Service Contract and not extended warranty anymore. On surface, sounds like less coverage but that doesnt go well with the massive price hike

It never was an Extended Warranty, it was Extended Service Contract previously.
