I believe the TEL button is new.

I just checked some photos of mine and it had the memory buttons for the passenger. I'm getting old - LOL!

The tweeter location looks identical, too.

Does anyone know if the lci has the latest mobile eye self driving? Or is the same chip as before?

Does anyone know what features were added/dropped for the base 40i going from the original version to the LCI?

My lease is up, trying to understand if I need to add features back in on the new build.

I won't get the 23" wheels for one reason alone -- they will be > $800 per tire.

Not only that but I would be VERY nervous due to potential damages (potholes etc.). you could certainly get a wheel & tire insurance but it would still be a hassle..

Last year I was seriously debating waiting for this LCI but I just thought the split headlights look was ugly. Now sure enough it looks pretty much like what all the digital renderings showed. I am extremely happy that I ordered mine - have had it since January. I love the look of the front, it's so aggressive and very much a BMW look. This new LCI doesn't look like a BMW to me.

I agree. I'm torn between the newer technology and the looks.

I know DHP was dropped for the base 40i pre-LCI and now makes a return as an option for this LCI. That was my biggest hangup with the base model.

Does the LCI still have acoustic glass? The GLS always had this as an option and wonder if X7 is following that.

I believe it's always been standard for all X7 trims. I think C&D did a decibel meter test and measured the X7 as the quietest car on the market behind a Bentayga.

the 2022 order guide lists acoustic glass standard for the 40i and m50i, no reason they would change that but we will not know 100% until we see a 2023 US order guide.

According to the future vehicles thread (https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686), Motorway Assistant will be available for X5-X6-X7 starting in April 2023. The i7 and 7 series should have it starting this year when the models are introduced.

So, it sounds like they will introduce it with the 2024 model year based on that timing. I'm considering getting an X7 and will probably wait until this is introduced before picking one up. You can see that the radar sensor below the bumper is quite a bit larger than the pre-LCI model, so it looks like they are planning ahead for this upgrade. I'm curious to see what the pricetag will be for the feature, and whether there will be any restrictions between EU vs US spec cars (due to legislation or roadway mapping).

will be interesting to follow the details of the presser on the new 7 tomorrow regarding "motorway assistant". I wonder if it will be an upgradeable feature, looking at images of the x7 lci it clearly has a next gen sensor in the bumper

Quoting myself here to add that, per the screenshot posted a page back, the 23” tires are 235/75/R23.

Both discount tire direct and tire rack do not list a single tire in this size. Tire rack does have a 235/85/23 tire listed, and that tire is indeed well over $800.

Edit: tire sizes above should be 275/35/23 (which I can't find any for sale, but which are in the X7 LCI pics) and 285/35/23 which I found available for sale.

I assume that was a typo "235/75/23" would be the most absurd looking tire basically a wagon wheel from Oregon trail haha

But we should expect the same tire sizes as the alpina and they indeed are ~$800-900 front and rear

Does anyone put much stock in C&D? Maybe 20 years ago.

I can confirm that my 2022 X7 M50i is not in the same galaxy as a Bentayga when it comes to wind noise suppression from the windscreen and side windows.

Well thats why I said "behind" a bentayga. The difference they reported was pretty significant as the bentayga was in a league if its own. But behind that, the X7 was the quietest car... quieter than an S class.

They literally took a decibel meter to measure the noise level at speed. It's not like they sat in the car and subjectively said "hmmm I think this sounds quieter".

Yep sorry, meant to say 275/35/23, which currently does not exist.

I did find some 285/35/23s on tirerack which are close to $900 each: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...=1&RunFlat=All

A RR will slot itself right between an X7 and Bentaya.

That's just too expensive. Crazy really. Basically close to 4000$ for a new set of tires with shipping + install. Why would anybody want that for the benefit of higher risk of damage due to road conditions? Aesthetics yes, but how well does a 23" really hold up over 30k miles in everyday traffic…
