I hate things that are fake. Piping in faux mechanical sounds is wrong. BMW made it's name building wonderful driving machines and since 1975 I have owned (or leased) a dozen of them. They have been the smallest available/manual gear boxes/highest mechanical spec - pure fun in a world of bloated mediocrity.

I see a trend with BMW towards bigger, heavier, and now fake it if it isn't right. What next faux leather smell piped through the vents and seats that tip opposite the turns to make it "feel" like it is cornering harder. Come on BMW, get back to your roots.
