sport changes the throttle response, so if you press the pedal say 3 inches in comfort mode for a given level of performance, you'd only press it say 1 inch in sport mode.
the gearbox will straight away change up to give more revs and it hangs on to the gears longer for maximum performance.
it weights up the steering as well.

Sport + is the same but changes DSC to be in DTC mode instead.

All above is not assuming you have any dynamic suspension fitted.

The difference between comfort and sport is very obvious
