This has been beaten to death already.
DSC off is its own mode with the correct setup for track which includes a lazier throttle for more accurate throttle feathering.
Don't know what you're talking about with the RT drivers, these magazine writers are mostly clowns anyway.
Edit: the suspension definitely does not go soft. I can guarantee you that.
