Seriously though, I had a Golf where it was a bit distracting, I just cut some little squares with electrical tape and covered most of the light. Problems solved. There are also these sticker sets on Amazon called
dim-its that are handy for lights that are too bright. I used them on my radar detector power cord and the lock button in my Porsches that is ill designed to reflect off the windsheild at night. I think I am used to it now as I don't find it distracting on my wagon.
