It's a preventative service, in my case it helped and smoothed out my gear changes. I couldn't say it would be a fix for you, but at 100,000kms I would certainly look into it.
If a differential slip error is coming up, is there anything out of ordinary you've heard? Loud diff, grinding diff or felt any slippage?

I used a large 100ml syringe to extract the old fluid, much more user friendly. Used Castrol castrol syntrax longlife 75w-90 which is the factory fluid.
