I would think it would be more likely to cause the water droplets on the surface to evaporate (leaving behind minerals etc. and water spots). Using cool air is more likely to blow the water droplets off the paint with much less evaporation occurring. This is the same reason that it is not advised to wash your car in the sun or when paint is hot.

TBH I never thought too much about the temperature of the air, you are probably right. Fortunately my car is ceramic coated, water beads runs off fairly quickly and never had problem with water spots.

Yeah I have the Ceramic coating too.
Also, your water may have less minerals in it.
The water from the town I live has fairly high mineral content.... so it can be a little annoying

Here is what I use to dry my car.... just another option for those interested.
Mine is actually an older model, not quite as powerful but still works great.... can be had now for cheaper.
No cords, and plenty of blowing power, for roughly the same price as the blower that you mentioned. I actually removed the long black pipe (twist unlock) to make it even easier to handle when drying the car.
Also, it's super handy as a leaf blower.
I've had it for about 5 or 6 years.
580 cfm, 168 mph velocity.
