My son has the latest Apple iPad Air, but it is in a crazy protective iPad case. I don't know if this thing will work with such a case. My kid's case is a Speck, but it kind of looks like this:

I would say get and try it out. It might attach over the part that domes t have the handle or the inner handle portion. If it doesn't work you can return it
