So far none has given any realistic answer. As a 2018 x5 40e owner myself, I’m interested to know IF I change out the batteries in the next 2-4 years, will battery technology be available to get me 40-50 miles on a single charge? I know others say just get the diesel - but if I can get 40-50 on a single charge - I may never need to use the ICE engine at all. Let’s then talk about cost savings vs the diesel. Just curious if anyone has heard if the range wouid increase as the 2022 models are getting 40 miles range, or so I’m told.
