ctuna & sam9116 I wanted to give an update to let you know I've fixed the problem. After further research on some older threads I learned that phones back when th car was new had been crashing the Bluetooth module in the car. I also paired my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 to the car and it worked for a little while until one day the SOS light popped up and the "heartbeat" in the speakers.
To fix the problem I removed all of the fuses pertaining to the sound system and the telephone in the car. I also unpaired the BMW from my cell phone. I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes, inserted the fuses and then re connected the battery. My Bluetooth was now working, as well as the AUX. The Heartbeat went away and the SOS malfunction disappeared.
