Dinan parts are not exempt, they instead offer their own warranty.

A dealer cannot void a warranty unless there is without a shadow of a doubt the defective part/failure was cause by an aftermarket part. Reading up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act will bring you up to speed on your rights.
