I got piece of info via email from BMW Press. They included a link to their press website but that page was not reachable for some reason. I've checked ipodyoubmw.com and yes, it still says not available on 2006 BMW 3 series. I just thought the press release should be a relatively updated source of info therefore I posted a link.
