Maybe they resolved that already, but I wouldn't trade in the high wear rate the 'Circuit Gilles Villeneuve' has for anything though.

The hairpin seemed fine last year, I did recall back in 2008, there were emergency repairs on part of the hairpin where the tarmac was breaking up or so. If we pulled up the 2008 Canadian GP clips, we can see a section of new asphalt being laid down near the apex of the hairpin.
But generally speaking, the track itself is very worn down and abrasive. It is going to hurt the life of these pirellis. Even Pirelli won't predict tire useage for Canadian GP.
