That video does seem to indicate that BMW has solved the shortcomings (ha!) that exist for families like ours and the X5. We love our X5, but need more vehicle.
Funny enough we just test drove the Subaru Ascent and even though obviously an entirely different class of vehicle (you could literally buy 2 Ascents for the price of one X7) it really wasn't bad. We enjoyed it much more than expected.
Still rather have an X7!
