An article was posted on Autoblog.com (with a link -below- to the original article) about BMW using a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox on the new M3. The gearbox is made by Getrag and called 'M DCT'.

Personally, I think this would be an excellent tranny for the X6, especially when matched to the 4.4 twin-turbo V8 (N64B44O1) engine. And don't forget the steering wheel paddles too..!
Has anyone heard speculation on the transmission for the X6?? IF NOT - I say we start the 'wish list' right here!!!
