Probably is to look for a straight that leads to a sharper turn. Thus the overtaking car will need to brake harder for the turn into Luffield.

For example, the one reason Spain GP DRS wasn't that effective was because Turn 1 is a 3rd gear corner, and Stowe at Silverstone is a 4th gear corner. Drivers can is a bit easier to defend compare to a second gear corner where they need to stomp on the brakes and dive into the corner.

Just my 2 cents...correct me if i'm wrong.
