Well, I felt in love with Bmw with my 1971 2002 when I was in college. ( I'm not that old! the car was already 30 years old when I got it).
Sure Bmw has departed from its lovely original designs a lot, but still you can find the "sprit" of fun days in some of the current lineup, like 2 series. (Especially m2), but not x7.
I don't see a "real" Bmw in x7, especially in this rendering.
The crazy thing is I have a x7 in the garage.
Because it's probably one the best SUVs out there. am I enjoy driving it? Not sure. But sure i like to be in the business class!
