XDrive is way more stable in turns (any season), provides better control, much better acceleration from 0 and is generally safer and sportier since it generally manages to put more power to the ground, summer or winter. Full agree with your thoughts. Even with x-drive, the car is always RWD biased until you get wheel slip. If I drive in sport+, I can kick the back of the car out and drive sideways. With it in sport, The traction up front gives you pretty amazing power on oversteer on corners as well.
