Here are some pictures of the next Rs4. Basicly audis way of slapping the M3 down.
Audi has made Ss which are sales competitors to the M cars, but have never really cut the mustard on a performance level. But they would always have an RS car in their back pockets to really give a whopping. Well, they are back at it with their new RS4. I for one know that BMW has Audis RS cars whooped with the new line of cars, the V10 in the m5/m6 really is a technological feat for BMW and cant be matched by audi, tough luck
The new BMW V8 for the M3 (which is rumored to be based on the BMW V10 of the M5) will be equally impressive, and in a somewhat restricted format (restricted is a bad word, lets just say it will have potential for a bit more

Anyways, here are pix of the Audi RS4, looks nice, and you can bet it will go. BMW will have its answer out soon enough, and I'm confident for the E90 generation, BMW will answer LOUDLY, as opposed to the E46 generation where the RS cars seemed to just be stronger.
this car is said to ditch turbos like the standard S4 sibling has done, and use an uprated version of the 4.2l V8 engine. BMW should put out as much power in a smaller unit
. The only downside is that this car looks to be coming out alot sooner then the M3, shame for BMW, lets hope BMW pulls something like release the M3 about 6 months after the coupe, accelerating the process a bit
