I found an installer to install OEM and paid out of pocket and filed a claim with my insurance and they reimbursed me less my $100 deductible. The insurance companies try to strong arm the installer to use aftermarket but if you pay upfront for the repair and elect to use OEM they have to cover you. You just need to put the claim in ahead of the repair.

Guess it just depends on the insurance company. My insurance uses safelite for windshield repair, so when I had to replace I asked for OEM and had to pay the difference out of pocket along with my deductible.
