Well it seems knowone has posted up an official Hockey thread for this year.
Lets here some predicitons and updates from your local and favorite teams!!

Here in San Jose the Sharks obliterated the Anaheim Ducks 4-1.
Former Rocket Richard Trophy winner Johnathan Cheechoo scored 2 goals in Game 1 of the season. While the other 2 goals were scored by Devon Setoguchi, and Christian Ehrhoff. The Sharks look to have opened this season wide open by obliterating their Pacific Division Rival Ducks. We will see how this season plays out, but if they can do what they did last night. I can see a Stanley Cup on the horizon.
