I felt the same way at first when I tried automatic lane change, but now I'm used to it and like the system "I'm making a lane change" mode.
Personally, nothing irritates me more than someone changing lanes or making left turns slowly, LOL. I'm glad my BMW gets me out out of a lane quickly and definitively.
