Around here the dealers make you sign a waiver stating that you are aware the vehicle has Summer Performance tires or there isn't a spare or both etc. Too many people are not informed or aware and then blame the dealership or sales person. To mitigate risk and liability they now request that you sign a waiver. They used to do the same for navigation saying that the vehicle has the most up to date software and that you acknowledge that in the future it may not reflect what you are driving on and an update may be required. Whenever they presented that document I would ask them to show me the date and version of the maps. It was never up to date and they would have to update them for free in order for me to sign. So pro-tip if this happens to you negotiate the tire set as part of the deal and the navigation software update (obviously this only for vehicles without OTA updates or three year map updates included).
