Felt the exact same way when they removed Active Steering from the X5. It was apparently not that popular an option but it was, IMHO, the single most important option for making the large, heavy X5 feel nimble, especially in situations where you needed to maneuver quickly. It's difficult to explain to those who didn't have it how important it is to the feel of the car. I had it on two X5s and the one without it was a beast to drive. Frankly, one of the reasons I held on to my 2015 F15 is because it was the last model with active steering.

I never had DHP, so I'm sure it's a similar feeling for those who are used to it. If you don't have it -- and I never saw one or was able to drive one on a dealer lot with it -- I'm sure it does feel like a huge loss. Given all the hype on this board, I was definitely planning on trying DHP in my next X5. Bummer.
