I use a Cingular Treo 650, which works great with the bluetooth in my 330i. The only catch is that it doesn't download all of the contacts to the car. Instead it downloads any number stored as a speed dial favorite. There is enough room for about 50-60 speed dial numbers on this phone.
In a way, I am glad that it doesn't download all the contacts. Not only would this download take forever to complete, but it would be a pain to scroll through my 400 or so contacts while driving.
I should also add that the call log, recieved calls, etc. all download to the car with no problems. I have even been able to use voice commands to dial my speed-dial numbers.
If you are looking to spend a lot of money, get an unlocked version for about $650.
