No, there are no paddles, there are round buttons on the back of the steering wheel. From what I read Alpina was the first to create this and has kept buttons over paddles for tradition.

I have an XB7 as well. If you read my reply the other poster was asking about the non-Alpina X7s which have paddles not buttons which you and I both have on our XB7s!
