Dealers keep tell us stories of the matte being more susceptible to scratches, not sure that argument holds much weight as I know several owners that have matte and have had zero issues. I’m more inclined to believe this argument is more so to get existing stock off the lots which are, for the most part, gloss finish.

I'm also opting for Tartufo but keep going back and forth between the Fineline Black Wood glossy and Ash Grain Black Wood matte.
I feel like the glossy goes better w the glass controls but matte is really nice too. Matte does look a bit misplaced against the glass controls though!
