A mate of mine that works for co-op insurance reckons it costs more to insure on drive than on street parking, as parking on a drive means any prospective thief knows where the keys are! Not tried it myself when running quotes as I'm not due for a couple of months but it'll be interesting to see if it is true! Personally would have thought that the added danger of being vandalised or hit while on street would be more of a risk.
