When I was shopping last November (between the GLS and X7), I couldn't believe how ambivalent I was between the '19 and the '20. Had they given me a better deal on a leftover '19, I probably would have pulled the trigger on the GLS. Imho every new generation of MB cars/SUVs feel slightly less "solid" than before, and that the '19 GLS actually had more presence than the '20 (not including the AMG versions of course). Then I looked at the X7 and I couldn't pass up an offer they made me on a '19 50i. So in the end I'm glad I checked out the X7.
