Yeah, that could work if the sensor does not affect other things. I have the sensor on my rear view mirror covered to disable the auto-dimming as that is what I have done in all my previous BMWs. I really dislike the dimming side mirrors. Have never actually checked if I could just code that out. Guess I should look.
