Proven tunes are very safe, you can easily check that by data logging and monitoring boost, far, ignition timing, knock sensors, etc...
Anything in life has risks.
You make it sound as if proven tunes have a high risk of engine failure which is not true.
It's like saying do not push your car over 6k unless you have money set aside for a new engine.
