I bought a X7 50i off the showroom floor because of the deal they offered and the V8 is an exciting engine to be sure but if I buy another X7 in the future it will be the 40i inline 6 model. My first ever X7 I test drive was a 40i and the inline 6 moved it very well and it was noticeably quieter than the 50i V8. And you could gain a 4-5 MPG savings.
