I drove both. Drove 40i without DHP and 50i with DHP. The difference in the nose weight of the 2 was very noticeable for me. The 40i felt smoother and lighter on take off. On the 50i however, you can feel the extra weight when you are pressing the pedal and the way the car responds on take off. U have to press the pedal more and it's not as smooth. Now once you are up and going, the 50i has a better response when you accelerate at higher speed.
