Guys, when you get your X7's, check for the option to change some of the common coded functionality listed above. From what I have seen, BMW does appear to actually "listen" to the BMW enthusiast crowd when it comes to some of these options so coding may not be necessary in the newer iDrive 7 BMWs like the X7. You may have to dig deeper into the owners manual, but based on reports from other X7 owners, there are several little adjustability "nuggets" in the system from the factory that have been found. Several of the most commonly coded options on older BMWs come standard from the factory now.

That said, some features will always require coding to change, usually due to some legality issue or DOT compliance issue here in the US. Removing the legal disclaimers upon engine start is an example...
