Dan, the nice thing about Buttonwillow is the consistency of the dirt. It's very fine and pumice-like and tends to make rather dramatic dust clouds but I've never personally seen anyone roll and there usually a lot of offs when i run there. After it rains however it's an entirely different story as it turns to mud and flips cars readily. There is a pretty well viewed video of a Miata flipping in the mud a couple years back.
Here is some footage from Buttonwillow mud, where even AWD may not be of much help (especially if you lift LOL) Notice in the beginning of the video some mud marks from other cars.
