Picked up the car today and I now believe the CA when he said of all the luxury cars out there the iDrive system is the easiest and most comprehensive infotainiment, high tech controls system/computer available. This thing is amazing. Ours works perfectly with the latest firmware update. NO bugs, so far and we must have gone thru 100 features/options of iDrive. I wanted something that was intuitive and easy to use and this delivers!
It's also packed full of features. After 30 minutes of being shown "this controls this and here's the option to that" I finally told him we were getting info overload. 65 mile drive home was amazing. I did turn off all assistance features but the Blind Spot.
