[FONT=Arial Black]Hello to the E90 community. This is my first post. I have followed this forum with great interest. I have on order a 2006 325i SP Terra. I live in Montreal, our winters are harsh. I have read posts here indicating winter tire sizes but I have a question to which I cannot find an answer: I will change to a winter-specific mags tire combo. I want to have rims in size 17-8 so that they will also fit a 330 should I decide to change for a 330 in future. The Tire Rack recommended fitting for the E90 17 inch rims is 225.45.17. Now I am afraid the 45 aspect may be too low for our pothole infested streets plus 225 to wide to effectively prevent sliding. For more bite I would prefer to buy 215.50.17 tires on the 17 inch rims which fit E90s. Is this possible ? I want to ask you before I tals to my salesperson/tech department which may not know/care.
