From what I've seen, the re-paved/conditioned VIR course is around 4-seconds a lap faster now, so you can automatically knock 4 seconds off the 918 difference, and throw the journalist drive in the Z06 as well, and I'd bet my house that the Z06 isn't even within 5 seconds of the 918 time.
Honestly, to release such a time on a track that has been repaved, with a more experienced/better driver, is pretty shady and poor form from GM. Not entirely unexpected though.
