I've done two jack stands and two hydraulic jacks. Didn't bother with 4 jack stands as the car wasn't off the ground for too long.

Basic process is drive the front wheels onto blocks (timber or other) to raise the front enough to get a jack under the front. There is a jack point directly under the engine. Then I jacked up the front and put the two jack stands underneath. I pulled the hydraulic jack, moved it to the rear and used a spare jack to hold up the other corner.

Tips...use rubber or timber under each jack point on the car to protect them from being damaged. They are surprisingly fragile.

Note: DO NOT GET UNDER THE CAR WHILST USING HYDRAULIC JACKS!!!
