That's just a bad rendering. The image also shows carbon ceramics.
The Supra/Z4 has the preferred rwd setup with the front calipers at the back, steering arm at the front.
Toyota/Subaru messed this up on the GT86, one of a couple of reasons the steering on that car isn't great.
