A buddy thought there may be a BMW Teflon punch tool just for this that's hard enough to get them popped out, but soft enough to not ding the paint but haven't been able to find anything like that.
Anyone have a solution?

This is what I used. It has sort of a hollow tip so it centers on the guide pins better.
