Once again, US comsumers are spoiled, but if I were in Europe and had to choose among these, the 1000 option makes sense, the 3400 does not (to me). You are better off spending a much smaller amount than the 2400 differential in buying your own performance pads (e.g. StopTechs), replacing the mushy rubber lines with stainless steel lines, and get better aftermarket rotors. Wiper blade rubbers are what, 20GBP?

Only worthwhile option is clutch, but will you really burn through a clutch as part of normal wear and tear driving (and if the dealer decides the clutch was abused he may deny it altogether). Isn't the clutch upgraded, or was it just the tranny. Thought one of the two were listed as changes from the 135i.

Go for the 1K option and don't look back.
