Young, my kids are now 6 and 11, we do the same as you, but when other guests, family members or even our dog Max has to to 3rd row the slow slow slow movement of seats is very uncomfortable and disappointing... It's just not normal to wait that long..... I don't know what this German carmaker was thinking...
