The tweeters make such a big difference on their own - not too surprising. Whoever heard a good hifi with no tweeters? It's unbelievable that BMW can sell a £30k car without them!
Btw, to the OP, I didn't have any wind noise increase with the same mod. Can only think that they're not fitted quite right at one end.
