The counter example to the above theory is that wireless CarPlay works flawlessly with X3 + iDrive 6. Connects in seconds, and never fail to connect under any circumstances. This points more to iDrive 7 implementation rather than Apple iOS. |
Good point however, restarting my iPhone allows it to reconnect to iDrive 7 every time. So it could still be an iOS issue. Doesn't happen often (for me) but occasionally a restart is needed.
