Is it a fact that it does get fixed by BMW? I have no problem with being persistent with the service department and getting this corrected but I am not sure that this is something BMW can correct. Is it a hardware issue? Do they need to reinstall iDrive from scratch? What is it that BMW needs to fix - have you read any success stories with the X7 or X5?
