Ha, I read this quickly at first and was and thought you meant the exterior paint on your home and some good indoor leather and carpet cleaners... Not going to lie, I was excited if that was the case because I simply can't stand the marketing BS within the home cleaning market, so I was helping to get some good honest advice on what to use in the home from other detailers.
As far as the car, I jumped on the chemical guys bandwagon a couple of years ago myself. There were a couple of products of theirs I like a lot (e.g. melon foam wash, butter wax, hybrid V07 sealant), and their VRP, Wheel Cleaners, and Leather care products were all okay enough that I just let my OCD set in and stuck with the brand.
There's a lot of good advice to be found in the M forums, likely much better than you'll get here (sorry fellow X7 owners). Even though I'm fanatic about keeping my M3 clean, I don't think I'll ever do more than a handwash with some added quick detail her and there on the X7...
